This post is dedicated to selling licenses as platforms in the Digital Signage, a subject far from clear, a priori as something that can be as simple as putting a price on a player, is complicated to add the hardware, either by replicating the same player on multiple screens or by the use of video servers.
Passed and time of license sale one shot per player, and seeing how companies are beginning to sell their platforms as SAAS (Software as a Service), we find the dilemma of how to sell the licenses. Many say that selling a monthly fee is fair player, but then we find the client that replicates the player between "X" screens, with the disadvantage of not being able to segment content on the screen, but in some cases more than enough. In contrast, others argue that selling a license is just a month per screen. At the same time say, a little unfair for those who do not want to segment the screen and use a single player to several of them, if for example an emergency room of a hospital, you may have 8 screens with the same 24 hours.
The same applies to news feeds or videos, for which we pay by the number of points they make. Logical, based on the logic that they only value the impact to the public.
So what's the solution?
From Gimages believe, and encourage the entire industry to follow these steps if you do not already, to sell a fee, either monthly or annual beaches, this player can be connected at most to 2 screens. Thus, for instance, a customer who has four monitors connected to a player, with the same content, you should pay the price of 2 licenses, one month, or
year ...
... and the price you sell the client a license, and depend on each one, as prices are mixed and many, but the methodology is the same, would certainly help the sector. Or do not you see that? We encourage you to review for consensus among all!
Greetings!
