Marina Subirats, Professor of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona was a researcher for many years, the ICE of the University. He has been Director General of the Institute for Women and has chaired the Equal Opportunities Commission of the European Union. He was also a Councillor for Education of the City of Barcelona. She is the author of numerous books and articles on Education and Gender.
